The Detroit Area Agency on Aging (DAAA) is fortunate to be one of 10 non-profit organizations competing to win $20,000 from the Detroit News in its Holiday Cheer for Charity Campaign – an initiative that supports local, community focused non-profit organizations during the holiday season. For DAAA to win, we will need YOUR help through two rounds of voting – first with votes, then with dollars.
Here’s how it works – from now through November 17 at 12:00 p.m.:
- Round 1: Start today, and you may vote once per day through November 17. Voting is limited to individuals who are 18 and older. Everything you need to participate in and cast your votes is here to help us move to Round 2: detroitnews.com/cheer2025 . - The five organizations with the most votes in Round #1 will continue to Round #2.
- Round 2 voting begins December 1. In Round #2, you will be voting with dollars.
- Each charity in Round 2 will receive the dollars raised from you.
- Then, the charity with the most votes in Round 2 will win $20,000 from The Detroit News.
