GET Your Vaccination

DAAA provides in-home vaccinations for homebound seniors and adults with disabilities.  Please note that co-pays may apply for individuals with insurance.

 

 

Required Documentation:
  • Photo ID
  • Health Insurance Card
  • Vaccination Card *Not required
Staff will be administering Moderna COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccinations.

Dos and Don’ts of Prepping for Vaccinations:

Do:
1.Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before your appointment to help your body better receive the vaccine.
2.Eat a Light Meal: Have a small, healthy meal before your vaccination to prevent feeling lightheaded or nauseous
3.Wear Comfortable Clothing: Choose a short-sleeve shirt or something with easy access to your upper arm where the shot will be administered.
4.Have Documents: Carry your ID, insurance card, and any vaccination records if required.
5. Inform Your Doctor If you have any chronic health conditions or are on medication.

 

Don’t:
1. Avoid Alcohol: Do not drink alcohol the night before your vaccination as it can cause dehydration and hangover symptoms.
2. Don’t Cancel Your Appointment: Reschedule your appointment if you feel unwell or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
3. Avoid Strenuous Exercise: Don’t engage in heavy exercise right before your vaccination to avoid unnecessary stress on your body.
4. Don’t Forget to Relax: Try to stay calm and relaxed. Anxiety can make the experience more uncomfortable.
