Caregiver Education
Creating Confident Caregivers
This is a free six-week educational training program for family members who provide care to a person with a dementia-related illness.
The workshop provides participants with information to increase effective caregiving and skills to manage stress and deal with difficult behaviors.
You will learn about:
- How dementia affects the brain
- Dealing with difficult behaviors
- Improving caregiving skills
- How to handle everyday activities
- Self-care to help you care for your loved one

Powerful Tools for Caregivers
This is an educational program designed to help family caregivers take care of themselves while caring for an adult relative or friend. This class series meets once a week, for 2 ½ hours, for six weeks.

Diabetes Education
There are two different program options for anyone who wants to learn how to self-manage diabetes.
You will learn about:
- How to plan healthy meals
- Being more active
- Skills to monitor your health
- Following your treatment plan
- Reducing health risks
- Coping with chronic illness

Option One
Six-week Diabetes Personal Action Toward Health (PATH) group workshop. Meets once a week for 2 ½ hours.
Two trained facilitators offer participants information on how to manage their diabetes.
Option Two
Five-week AADE7 group workshop for persons that have Medicare Part B. Meets once a week for 2 hours.
Led by a registered dietitian who will also meet one-on-one with participants to work on individualized areas of concern (such as high cholesterol, creating a healthy eating plan, managing stress, etc.), all billable through Medicare Part B.
