Caregiver Education

Are you caring for someone with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or memory loss?

Creating Confident Caregivers is a free six week educational training program for family members who are caring for a person with a dementia related illness. The workshop provides participants with information, skills and attitudes to manage stress and increase effective caregiver skills and to deal with difficult behaviors.

  • Dementia and its effects on the brain
  • Caregiver resources
  • Managing behaviors
  • Improving caregiving skills
  • How to handle everyday activities more easily
  • Taking care of yourself to better care for your loved one

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is an educational program designed to help family caregivers take care of themselves while caring for an adult relative or friend. This class series meets once a week, for 2 ½ hours, for six weeks.
