This program helps eligible residents access fresh\, locally grown produce and promotes healthier eating habits as they age. \n\nProgram Benefits:\n• Free nutrition education\n• $25 in benefits to use on fresh fruits\, vegetables\, and honey at approved local farmers’ markets and roadside stands Eligibility Requirements:\n• Must be 60 years or older\, with a household income of $28\,952.50 or less for an individual\, or $39\,127.50 or less for a couple.\n• Adults aged 55 or older who are members of a Michigan federally recognized tribe or urban tribal group are also eligible.\n• Applicants must obtain their benefits within the county they reside in.Application Period:\nOpens May 1\, 2026If you meet the eligibility requirements and are interested in participating\, please contact the program via email at:\n📧 MDHHS-SeniorProjectFRESH@michigan.gov
